Bodhi Tree Gallery launches its first exhibition following the Banyan Community Gallery residency in 2005.

Ben McNamara painting and photography Thursday 19th October to Sunday November 19th.

We are proud to announce Ben McNamara's exhibition of painting and photography. Ben's artistic passion travels between the personal and universal beauty of humanity.

Paintings of Gandhi and Malcolm X are mixed with smiling faces from Central Australia and rich textured photos of sacred ground.

This is a perfect exhibition to relaunch the Bodhi Tree Gallery.

Exhibition launch: Thursday October 19th at 7.30 pm. $3/head entry. (Kids free). Meals from $5.30pm booking essential.

 

"Temperature Rising":
Turning up the heat on Global Warming in the Yarra Valley & Beyond...

An Exhibition at the Bodhi Tree on the subject of Climate Change/Global Warming.

The climate change Exhibition will further raise the issue of Global warming locally with the intention of inspiring and fostering a dramatic acceleration of action to address the issue where ever possible.

The Exhibition also marks the formal announcement by the Bodhi Tree of a commitment to a time frame for dramatically reducing its own CO2 emmissions and working with others in the community to do the same.

The Exhibition will open on Thursday 23rd November and closes on Saturday 23rd December. It will be an open exhibition with works from various artists inspired by the subject and, more importantly, the task ahead of us to address the issue. The Exhibition is just the beginning of a sustained campaign that will unfold in other ways over time.

There will also be weekly talks during the exhibition on various aspects of the issue as well as information on direct action which individuals and groups can take.

Entry to the Exhibition opening will be $3.00/head. Some works and prints will be available for sale on the night.
